Rental Questions, Answered
Everything you need to know before renting a compact track loader or skid steer from our yard in Gleason, WI.
Pricing & payment
How much does it cost to rent a skid steer or track loader?
Our compact track loaders start at $395 per day, with weekly rates and a flat $3,250 monthly rate. Wisconsin sales tax (5%) is added, and you see the full total before you pay.
When do I pay?
The full rental total — including any delivery, pickup, fuel options, sales tax and card processing fee — is charged by card right after you sign the rental agreement online.
Is there a minimum rental?
Daily rentals have a 4-hour minimum and are charged in full-day increments. Rentals run from 8:00 AM on your start date.
Can I cancel?
Yes. Give us written notice at least 24 hours before your rental starts. Cancelling with less than 24 hours notice may be charged the minimum rental. Delivery and pickup fees are non-refundable once the machine is dispatched.
What if I return it late?
Late days are charged at 150% of the daily rate plus a $250 administrative fee, so book an extra day if you're unsure.
Delivery & pickup
Do you deliver equipment near me?
We deliver across North Central Wisconsin — Lincoln, Langlade, Oneida and Marathon counties — from our yard in Gleason, WI. Delivery is $50 plus $3 per mile, calculated from your address when you book.
Can I pick the machine up myself?
Yes. You can pick up and return at our Gleason yard and skip the delivery and pickup fees.
Do I have to be there for delivery?
It's best if you are, because we do a joint walk-around inspection and record the hour meter, fuel level and photos before the machine is released.
Requirements
How old do you have to be to rent a skid steer?
Operators must be 18 or older and must show basic operating skills — startup, shutdown, load handling and emergency stops — before taking the machine.
Do I need a special license?
No special license is needed to run a compact track loader on your own property. We walk you through the controls at handoff.
Do I need insurance to rent?
Yes. Our rental agreement requires general liability insurance of $1,000,000 per occurrence and $2,000,000 aggregate, naming Ulrich Equipment LLC as additional insured. We verify the certificate before releasing the machine. Call us if you have questions about coverage.
Where can I use the equipment?
Rentals can be used in Wisconsin, Minnesota and Michigan for standard construction, landscaping, site prep and snow removal work.
Fuel & care
Is fuel included?
Machines leave full of diesel and DEF. Return them full, or choose our refill options at booking: $150 for diesel and $40 for DEF.
Who handles maintenance?
We handle scheduled maintenance and normal wear repairs. You do the daily walk-around, check fluids, keep it reasonably clean and call us right away if something seems off.
Which attachments come with a rental?
The attachments listed on your rental agreement are included, and you're responsible for securing them to the quick-attach coupler. If you'd rather own one, we sell Silver Star and Hoover attachments in our shop.
